Live Band : The GMen Soul Band

The GMen Soul Band is a nine piece band formed in early 2012.

Featuring the father of Sheffield Soul C.G. Morris on lead vocals backed by guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, and with a trumpet,
trombone and tenor sax brass section. The GMen Soul Band have an authentic soul sound uncommon in today’s music scene around the South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire area.

They came together from different areas of South Yorkshire, pulled in by a common love of soul music. Enthusiasts one and all, they have kept very good musical company in their pasts!

The band rehearsed for a long time before embarking on their live gig schedule, a schedule they have deliberately started slowly and low key and which has now built to an almost full and varied diary of dates.

Having built up a steady following of friends and fans they have come to realise that the love of music of Otis Redding, Wilson
Pickett and Sam and Dave is not restricted to the members of the band!

The band is committed to providing a good night’s entertainment wherever they play, and they take their music very seriously whilst injecting a lot of warmth and humour into their gigs.
